This delicious and flavourful dish is a must-try! Succulent chicken pieces are devilled in creamy, tangy mustard sauce and served with seasonal vegetables for an exceptionally tasty meal.
* Serves 4 people.
Ingredients:
- 4 chicken pieces, skin removed (about 500g)
- 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard (30ml)
- 1 teaspoon of butter (5g)
- 2 tablespoons of cream (30ml)
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced (10g)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Seasonal vegetables (approx. 200g each), e.g., new potatoes, carrots, red onion, celery, peas
- Olive oil (3 tablespoons or 45ml)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Place chicken pieces in a shallow baking dish and season with salt and pepper.
- In small bowl, mix together mustard, butter and cream until combined. Spread mixture over the top of the chicken pieces.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown on top.
- Meanwhile, cook vegetables in a pan with olive oil for 7-10 minutes until tender but still crunchy.
- Serve chicken pieces with seasonal vegetables of your choice on the side, accompanied by a fresh garden salad if desired! Enjoy
